What type of dog is this?

She is my dog, picked up from the pound. I have my own estimations and a pretty good consensus as to what she is but now I am looking for a broader confirmation guess. A few clues:

- approx. 14-16 weeks

- 33 lbs.

- LOW energy

- medium length spaniel-like hair

- hair crimps when wet

- soft puppy coat (no idea if she has a double coat yet)

- white chin and butt

- tan cross marking on chest

- tan 'socks'

- tan rottweiler like eye markings

It's super hard to tell from that picture, but maybe a Portuguese Water Dog MIX with MAYBE Newfie? Again, it's really hard to tell from that pic.

Looks like an Australian Shepherd mix....I've seen the brown %26amp; tan variety.

I'm not quite sure, but I see a lot of Spaniel in it. Perhaps a Brittany? (Yes, there is a breed of dog called Brittany.) It could just also be a mixed breed with alot of different kinds of dogs.

this dog resembles either a chocolate lab or a brittany...when u take her to the vet for her next shot or check up ask the doc im sure he can pin point it...

It would help if the pic were rotated,but I see some Australian shepherd and maybe co cker spaniel,both of these breeds can be found with those markings. Of course there could be anything in there! Very cute puppy!

Hmm I guess my answer is pretty useless as I'm not going to be able to put a finger on the breed. All I know is she is absolutely GORGEOUS! and I really can't see the choc lab resemblance people are talking about..

The second photo is a good one: I'd say Bernese Mountain Dog or St Bernard or Newfoundland cross.

Aussie! Shepard! except the low-energy? (if you have had extremly active dogs before she may me low energy on your scale vs. the general scale, that's whats so hard about this kind of stuff) I wouldn't say rottie, she doesn't have the build, just markings, which a lot of other breeds have! Not a lab (at least I dont see it) I also don't see spaniel, but A vet would be able to give you a beter guess, and once she gets older it will be easier to tell good luck, looks like a really great dog!

I think it is a mixture of a golden retriever, britany spanial, and australian shephard, and the brown nose makes me think it has some chocolate lab in her.

It looks to have a bit of border collie in it to me, but you say it has low energy. That is the exact opposite to a collie. Mine is always on the go even on a really hot day. She has a beautiful coloured coat though. Very nice dog

she really looks between a Irish setter and spaniel, both breeds are really mellow and her color is the Irish, and the ears and body is spaniel any ways she looks like a very intelligent, and very bight, very cute dog,,,

Irish setters have the same type of fur you described, and going from the pictures, I'm pretty sure that's what she may be. I've wanted one for a very long time.. so I've seen many pictures of them over the years. Here's a picture of one (hopefully this link works)
