What straightener should I get?

I have medium length, wavy, fairly thin (for wavy) hair.

I have a good budget ... but it can't be over $200 w/o tax.

I've considered to following:

Sedu

CHI

GHD (a littlle over budget)

Solia

Corioliss

soo ... ideas?

Sedu. I have it and I love it. It keeps my hair stick straight even when it's misty outside (raining) and when it's super humid. I even sleep on it and it's still straight in the morning. It glides over my hair and instead of taking an hour (such as with previous straighteners I've owned) it only takes me 20 minutes to do my hair. It makes your hair really soft and shiny too. :)

My best friend has the Chi. It works well but no where near as well as the Sedu. I used it and it made my hair really dry feeling and it got curly again after like 3 hours. They also break really easy. I even read that they have caught on fire! Yikes.

I'd def choose the Sedu if I was you. It's even the highest rated one at Folica.com and going for around $115 now Jennifer Aniston uses it and so do a lot of other celebrities. :)

I have one that cost about $95 - don't recall the name at the moment but it is Ionic and works very well. My hair stylist recommended that I get any of them as long as it was Ionic. I love mine - the hair comes out very shiny and healthy. (Bought at Sally Beauty Supply in CT)

I love CHI irons. They last a really long time and they come with a one year warranty. They also have several options as far as the width and style of your iron. I have a 1" CHI Turbo and I've had it for almost 3 years now and it's still working as well as it did the first day I got it.

Well i have similar hair, and have had pretty good results with Ghd's previously. But the thing is it is very common for Ghd's to burn out after a year, so it depends if your willing to buy new ones again. I would also suggest Mark Hill as they are a bit cheaper than Ghd's, just as good, and last longer. Hope i was some help.

Definitely go with CHI! I've had a CHI since i was 16 yrs old and I'm 21 now its the best thing in the world! Also i think you can get them for only 100-150 dollars now. I highly recommend them. GOOD LUCK!

They are fantastic. My hairdresser was the first one to mention them to me. They are made in the same factory as GHD'S and go up to the same heat if not higher. They are like half the price. BARGAIN!
