I'm going to a sweethearts dance at my school and i need a hairstyle?

I have medium [sholder length] dark brown hair, it can curl, straighten, pretty much everything. I kind of want a half up half down hair style, i like the kind of 'messy' look, some hanging down and stuff, but im up for anything, any ideas???

sweetheart's dance sounds like something for valentine's day (correct me if i'm wrong, [=), and when i think V-day, i think romantic. I think that since your hair curls, you should do waves. And you can do the half up/down thing too. But instead of a plain hair tie, use something sparkly, or maybe even stick a flower or two in there.
